The Pitch

Thoughtful, focused support to help you prepare your work for agent submission.

Preparing to query agents can feel overwhelming—especially when you’re unsure whether your opening pages are compelling or if your query letter truly reflects the heart of your story. The Pitch is designed to offer professional, grounded guidance on the materials agents see first.

Support Between Submissions

Between rounds of querying, you shouldn’t have to guess what to do next. We’ll keep your process moving with practical direction, steady accountability, and feedback that helps you make smart revisions without spiraling.

Round One: Opening Pages Assessment (First 10 Pages)

I’ll review the first 10 pages of your manuscript and provide high-level editorial feedback focused on agent readiness, including:

  • Strength of the opening hook

  • Voice, tone, and narrative flow

  • Pacing and reader engagement

  • Point-of-view grounding

  • Overall effectiveness of the opening pages

You’ll receive this feedback through in-line comments on your manuscript along with a brief assessment letter that highlights key strengths, areas to refine, and priority revision guidance. Together, these materials are designed to help you understand how your opening pages are landing and where adjustments will have the greatest impact.

  • Sentence-level flow and readability

  • Voice consistency and polish

  • Word choice and repetition

  • Professional presentation while preserving your voice

Targeted Feedback on Your Pages

Instead of one broad round of notes, you’ll get focused feedback where it matters most: the pages agents actually read. These targeted notes help you strengthen clarity, pacing, tension, and scene flow so your opening stays sharp and your revisions go in the right direction.

A Note on Momentum

This space is about staying in motion. The Pitch is designed to help you keep moving forward, even when clarity feels just out of reach.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin. What matters is committing to the process, showing up consistently, and engaging with the work as it evolves.

Through structure, check-ins, and focused guidance, The Pitch helps you maintain accountability while building confidence in your direction. Progress happens through action—and this is where that action is supported.
